Humble Beginnings
Hey everyone, Deirdre here writing my very first blog post. I guess I'm here to introduce myself and share a bit about the passion that sparked my humble endeavor, born from a deep love for nature and an endless fascination with architecture.
I've always been drawn to crafting pieces that reflect the sheer beauty of nature and the quiet elegance of sustainable materials. It's this love that drove me to embark on the journey that became Deeca Design.
Behind this venture is someone who simply adores the artistry of woodworking and sustainable living. Since its inception, I've found immense joy in merging the skills I honed in the world of carpentry with the creativity nurtured in the realm of events. The result? Something a little different in the world of jewelry.
I've always viewed hardwood through a different lens. Taking woods like walnut and mahogany—usually earmarked for other crafts—and delicately encasing them in silver and gold was my way of blending the rawness of nature with the refined elegance of precious metals. It’s my attempt at a gentle marriage between the two worlds.
Deeca Design is more than just a project to me; it’s a passion project that remains close to my heart. It's ever-evolving, constantly engaged in a dialogue about architectural shapes, sustainability, and the beauty that emerges when these two worlds harmonize.
I’m excited to share this journey with you all, to delve deeper into the intricate connections between nature's marvels and the creativity inspired by sustainable living and jewellery design.
